ASIA OVERSEAS TRANSPORT CO., INC., (AOTCI) is a 100% Filipino owned corporation, duly registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Bureau of Domestic Trade and the Department of Trade and Industry on August 1980 as an International Air and Sea Cargo Forwarder.
AOTCI is also duly certified by the Civil Aeronautics Board (CAB) to operate as an International Air Cargo Forwarder starting November 1983. Its license to continue operating as an International Air Cargo Forwarder was granted onwards renewable every five (5).
The renewal by the country's Civil Aeronautics Board (CAB) of the certificate to operate as an International Air Cargo Forwarder to ASIA OVERSEAS TRANSPORT CO.,INC. re-affirms the government's trust and confidence in the company. By carrying into its responsibilities to the full satisfaction of the CAB and the clients it has been servicing, the company has rightfully earned, in so short a time, its share of recognition in its chosen field.
AOTCI is also accredited with Philippine Shippers Bureau (PSB) as International Freight Forwarder, Cargo consolidator, NVOCC and Breakbulk agent.
Further, with the aim to achieve service excellence and become globally competitive, AOTCI had in place a quality system that conforms to International Standard. The company successfully passed the requirements of ISO 9001:2000 on December 2001 and was certified by a prestigious certifying body, TUV Product Service Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. AOTCI is presently certified to ISO 9001: 2008 Version.
Starting out in 1980 as an International Sea Cargo Forwarder, the company management decided to branch out as an International Air Cargo Forwarder in 1983 and since then has been focusing on these endeavors. The company's monthly outbound air cargo volume has been steadily growing since 1984. With the growing need for international viability, AOTCI had its membership application with the International Air Transport Association (IATA) approved in October 1990. With a new perspective added, its operations have been going into full gear with the renewed trust and confidence in its market.
The expanded export services of AOTCI covers all major air and sea ports of destination. The company cargoes are being transported to the major cities of Europe, United States, Canada and Far East. The majority of its commodity load are ICs (integrated circuits) & semiconductors, various types and kinds of garments, fabrics & yarns, fashion accessories, handicrafts, foodstuff, rattan, bags & luggages, marble products and sporting goods.
AOTCI specializes on flat rack cargo and Garments On Hanger (GOH) containers, dry and reefer cargo and other special project shipment requiring special type of containers.
AOTCI also specializes in the Aviation Industry and has export airfreight operations team that can handle Dangerous Goods (DG), Aircraft on Ground (AOG) and various aircraft parts and equipment.
AOTCI provides full assistance to exporters from export documentation, facilitation of licenses from government agencies, airfreight and ocean consolidation to trucking, marine insurance, packing, crating and warehousing.
AOTCI also handles importation of general cargo and project & heavy lift shipments. Since we are represented by reputable overseas agents with branch offices worldwide, we can cater to importation requirements all over the world. We are presently handling importation of heavy machineries and equipment, telecommunication devices and accessories, spare parts, chemicals, generating sets, transformers and many more. AOTCI also coordinates and monitors shipment from the time the L/C has been opened up to consignee's door delivery. Our reliable Brokerage Department can provide importers prompt and speedy service on customs clearance and assist on payment of duties and taxes.
